DNA Testing Centre Admits To Data Breach Affecting Over 2 Million People
This week, DNA and paternity testing company DNA Diagnostic Center announced it had discovered unauthorized access to its network that led to a data breach in August. Threat actors accessed the company’s systems and exfiltrated an archived database that housed files containing patient PII collected between 2004 and 2012.

Approximately 28,000 GoDaddy Users Affected by Data Breach
Early this week, details of a recently discovered data breach were disclosed by one of the world’s largest domain registrar and web hosting companies, GoDaddy. This is the second reported incident this year, as a successful spear-phishing attack was reported in late March.

Over half a year later, online photo sharing platform, 500px, has reported that their servers were hacked in July 2018. At first glance, the extreme delay in communications is a highly questionable move but the company has reported that it just gained knowledge of the attack earlier this month. Fears of credential stuffing, identity fraud and further targeted attacks for those affected by the breach have set in as months have gone by without any monitoring of their credentials or accounts.
